These items are courtesy of the Macy Hallock collection (1896 -1900) the Ohio Historical Society, and campaign sites. Many buttons contained slogans or symbols identifiable with candidates and issues of the time. There were also other parties formed or significant firsts by candidates seeking their party's nomination.
