Engine 473
The 470 series or K-28 locomotives were ten engines designed for passenger service along the D&RG. They were built by the American Locomotive Company (Alco) in Schenectady, New York, in 1923. 473, 476, and 478 operated on the Silverton Branch from the 1950s through 1980 and are still in service today.
