Colorado River from Desert View

The Colorado River is 1,450 miles long. It begins in Colorado and flows through Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California and Mexico before emptying into the Gulf of California.The mouth of the river was seen by Francisco de Ulloa in 1539; the lower part was explored by Hernando de Alarcón in 1540.
