Raccoon

In May 2001, we discovered four orphaned baby raccoons. One was on the ground and three others were in the hollow of a giant maple tree. The mother had been hit by a car while crossing the road just a few feet away. We called the county wildlife agent who told us to bring them to their facility. Before transporting the babies to the center, we videotaped them with a Sony Digital 8 camera. Then we made a movie to share with students and teachers around the world. The movie was made on an iMac with iMovie. Click on the picture above to view the movie. Write about what you see. Notice the heart shaped hole in the tree.
